About YCM

A Creative Group headed by musician Yolanda Charles.

Born in the UK in the 1970s, Yolanda began her professional career as a musician in 1990.
After a 30-year career as a studio and touring session bassist, her career shifted focus to organise her acquired skills in support of her work as an independent artist under the band name Project pH.

Her skill and experience as a musician resulted in invitations to perform at industry-focused events, performing with fusion group INSTRA_MENTALS. Jointly led with guitarist Nick Linnik, they were a regular feature at London’s Ronnie Scott’s Jazz club for 3 years.

THE BASS TEACHER
Working as a bass tutor since the late 1980s, Yolanda has been involved in music education almost since the beginning of her playing career. The sheer variety of of experiences has led to regular invitations to hold workshops, masterclasses, performance clinics and give talks at educational establishments, trade shows and other music industry events around the world.

The Bass Teacher YouTube channel offers free content for bass guitar education building a community of musicians interested in bass to receive help on their journey developing as a musician.
